Although the fight hasn’t been officially announced, a crossroads showdown between Adrien “The Problem” Broner (35-4-1) and Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (16-1-1) is in the works.

Cincinnati’s Broner signed with Hall of Fame Promoter Don King last year and made his DKP debut last June when he defeated Bill Hutchinson via unanimous decision in Miami.  Cobbs signed with King last month and the fight announcement is expected soon.

Broner’s trainer Kevin Cunningham expects the matchup to produce fireworks and that the leadup between the two talkative fighters to the fight will be epic. Victory over Cobb would be Broner’s third in a row and put him in position for a major fight.

“AB versus Blair “The Flair” is a matchup between two of the biggest s*** talkers in boxing. AB is in camp putting in work and understands the ramifications of winning this fight. We’re just waiting on Don King to make an official announcement. AB has promised me that he’s going to beat the corn off of Cobb,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

Cobb, who lives in Las Vegas, was last in action in 2022 when he defeated former champion Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker via unanimous decision.  His only professional loss came against Alexis Rocha.

Broner has faced several of the top fighters in the lightweight through welterweight divisions.  Opponents that he has faced include Antonio DeMarco, Marcos Maidana, Manny Pacquiao, Shawn Porter, Jessie Vargas, and Paulie Malignaggi.
