Bantamweights Koki Kameda (28-1, 17KOs) and Hugo Ruiz (31-1, 28KOs) will be interested parties in Saturday's fight between Abner Mares and Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno.

Kameda and Ruiz will fight for the Japanese boxer's "regular" WBA bantamweight title on December 4th in Osaka. Moreno, the WBA's super champion, is moving up in weight to challenge Mares for his WBC championship. The WBA granted Moreno special permission to take the fight.

The sanctioning body has ruled that Moreno will have to make up his mind, after the Mares fight is over, on whether he plans to return to return to the bantamweight division.

If Moreno decides to drop down, he will have to fight the winner of Kameda-Ruiz next. If Ruiz wins, the fight won't be hard to make because the Mexican fighter, and Moreno, are both advised by international promoter Sampson Lewkowicz.
