Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is bringing IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (18-0, 18 KOs) to the United States to build his profile with the American public.

Hearn's target fight is a unification between Joshua and WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs).

Joshua has an exclusive multi-fight TV deal with Showtime. He returns on April 29 in what is the biggest fight of pro career, as he takes on former division king Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium, live on Sky Sports Box Office. The vacant WBA, IBO world titles will also be at stake.

Hearn and Joshua will likely be present at next Saturday's rematch between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight is being televised by Showtime in America and Sky Sports in the UK.

"He's in Dubai at the moment, he comes back at the end of this week, and then we're going to go to an event in America on the 29th of January," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"Then we do a press conference for Joshua-Klitschko on the 31st and then he flies back straight into camp for February 1st, so all under way."

Wilder has a voluntary defense on February 25th in Alabama, against Polish contender Andrzej Wawrzyk. The outcome of Klitschko-Joshua will also provide two mandatory challengers with Ortiz for the WBA and Kubrat Pulev for the IBF.

If Joshua defeats Klitschko, Hearn is clear that the target will be Wilder.

"I would like him to fight Wilder," said Hearn. "You never know what is going to happen in boxing. AJ and Klitschko could have a 10, 11, 12 round war, do you do that again, or fight Wilder? Do you fight the Haye-Bellew winner? Anything can happen, but I love the Deontay Wilder fight. The Americans are starting to go mad for Anthony Joshua. They were all talking about him last week.

"Wilder against Joshua can be built into a huge fight. Two undefeated, fast, big-punching heavyweights. But I think at the moment, the pure focus, because of the toughness of the fight, has to be Wladimir Klitschko. You come through and it's no turning back, it's big fights only."
