On Friday December 3rd history will be made as seven Cuban exiles will fight on the same card for the first time ever.

Pugilistic Promotions and it’s monthly boxing series “Badia Spices Friday Night Fights” presents “Cuba vs. The World at the Magic City Casino – formerly the Flagler Dog Track –  on N.W. 37th avenue and 7 street, with the first bell at 8:30pm.

Boxing historian Enrique Encinosa says this is the first time outside of Cuba, that a professional fight card features seven pugilists from the island.

The boxers headlining the card are:

Super middleweight Yudel Jhonson (8-0, 6 KOs) who as an amateur won the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2006, and gold at the 1999 Panamerican Games.

Light heavyweight Yordanis Despaigne (7-0, 4 KOs) who owns amateur wins over future professional world champions Jean Pascal and Tomas Adamek.

Hard hitting cruiserweight Yunier Dorticos (9-0, 9 KOs), winner of three silver medals, and one bronze in Cuban national championships.

Rounding out the card are heavyweight Glendy Hernandez (2-0). Lightweight Puro Pairol (1-0-1).  Vilier Quiñones, a light heavyweight making his pro debut, and Jose Aleman, a junior middleweight making his first appearance as a pro.
