Jesus Soto Karass (28-10-3, 18KOs) is excited about his upcoming debut in BKB [Big Knockout Boxing] on April 4th against Ed Paredes (35-5-1, 23KOs) in a junior middleweight fight [catch-weight of 153-pounds]. Their bout will fall on the undercard of Curtis Stevens vs. Gabe Rosado from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

BKB is a boxing match which takes place in a small pit with no ropes, which is constructed in a manner to force more action in the ring and more knockout endings.

Both Soto Karass and Paredes are coming off back to back defeats in the boxing ring.

"I'm not doing boxing [next]. I'm still with Golden Boy Promotions, but BKB told me I'm practically on loan [to them]. It's something different that caught the attention of the people, because they are rounds that are only two minutes in which you virtually have no rest. If you get hurt you have to endure and respond," said Soto Karass to ESPN Deportes.

"[Paredes is] a tall fighter, but we both come from boxing. He is a good fighter, experienced, and we will give everything to make a good impression. I think that in itself it will be a great show for people. My style is never to be on the ropes. I always come forward, and this time is no exception."

"I do not know about others but this is a good purse. I am being paid well, for fewer rounds, but I'm earning well."
