If Jason Quigley were a stock, he should be invested in heavily. Especially right now.

The unbeaten middleweight has garnered much attention from what he has done in the ring in less than two years as a pro.

Despite the early success, Quigley believes he can still get better.

Quigley will showcase his skills and stake a major step up in class Saturday when he faces James De La Rosa in a 10 round bout at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

The bout will take place on the undercard portion of the Golden Boy Promotions card and will be televised for free (around 4 p.m. PT) on the preview show prior to the start of the HBO Pay-Per-View broadcast.

Quigley (10-0, 9 KOs) has shown promise with his improving skill-set, but it is his punching power that has caught the eyes of boxing fans and scribes.

Originally from Donegal, Ireland and now residing in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, Quigley is training with Manuel Robles.

De La Rosa should be a decent test for Quigley. De La Rosa has lost three of his last six bouts after starting his career with 20 straight wins.

De La Rosa (23-3, 13 KOs) was scheduled to fight David Lemieux about two months ago, but the fight fell through when Lemieux came into the fight overweight. De La Rosa refused to step in the ring with Lemieux, even though he was offered more money.

“I know what I am capable of,” said Quigley this past week in the lead-up to his fight on Saturday. “I sparred over 160 rounds against the likes of Jose Benavidez and Terrell Gausha. Come Saturday night, I'm ready to take care of business."

“I’m going to be a problem for De La Rosa on Saturday night.”

Golden Boy Promotions is very high on Quigley. Look for him to be pushed more on local shows at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles area.
