Undefeated super welterweight, Jaime Munguia (25-0, 21 KO's), will be featured on HBO Latino this Saturday night from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, where he faces Paul Valenzuela Jr. (20-6, 14 KO's).

Munguia is a bit reminiscent of another Mexican fighter from the past, Antonio Margarito, with his fan-friendly style.

"He's the type like a Margarito but he's got probably better boxing skills and he's got a big, big amateur background and his father was a heavyweight fighter here in Mexico," said Fernando Beltran, the head of Zanfer Promotions, which handles the career of the 21-year old from Tijuana, Mexico.

But while Beltran compares Munguia to Margarito, he feels the up and comer has more versatility than 'the Tijuana Tornado'.

"Since he's been born he's been in the ring and I see a kid with a lot of talent," said Beltran.

"Margarito was always going straight forward and Jaime can box a little bit better. That's what I believe."

Munguia has had an active 2017 having already notched six victories and having moved up to the ten round level.

As far as the rest of Saturday's HBO Latino card, which begins at 1:05 a.m. ET or immediately following the HBO Boxing After Dark telecast. The HBO Latino Boxing doubleheader (tape-delayed) is headlined by a scheduled 10-round junior lightweight fight between Russia’s Denis Shafikov (38-3-1, 20 KOs) and Nicaragua’s Rene Alvarado (27-8, 19 KOs).

The HBO Boxing After Dark telecast features a tripleheader, with a main event showcase four-time world champion Orlando Salido (44-13-4, 31 KOs) taking on countryman Miguel Roman (57-12, 44 KOs) in a 10-round super featherweight bout. Also, Philadelphia’s Tevin Farmer (25-4-1, 5 KOs) and Tokyo’s Kenichi Ogawa (22-1, 17 KOs) in a 12-round world title contest for the vacant IBF title, and Francisco Vargas (23-1-2, 17 KOs) taking on Stephen Smith (25-3, 15 KOs) in a 10-round super featherweight eliminator.
