One of the more entertaining fights of the year took place on October 28th when O’Shaquie Foster (21-2) stopped Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez (34-2) in the 12th round of their WBC super featherweight title fight.   Foster was trailing on the scorecards when he pulled off the stoppage.

Round 11 of the DAZN streamed fight that took place in Cancun, Mexico will definitely be in the running for several outlets “Round of the Year” awards.

Hernandez’s manager Hector Fernandez de Cordova informed BoxingScene.com that he has already asked their promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing for a rematch.

The respected manager believes that even with the loss, the fight will raise his fighter’s profile and he is very confident Hernandez will finish the job if a rematch were to take place.

“Most definitely the experience won. Rocky got betrayed by his heart of a lion and got caught but it definitely was as a tremendous fight. O’Shaquie won the fight but we don’t see this as just any type of loss ff you know what I mean. A rematch would turn out differently,” Fernandez told BoxingScene.com.

Hernandez entered the fight on a six fight winning streak while Foster has now won eleven fights in a row.
