Olympic champion Hebert Conceicao is certain gym-mate Anderson Silva will knockout Jake Paul on Saturday night.

Brazilian UFC legend Silva is the latest athlete to accept a challenge from YouTuber-turned-boxer, Paul, and the pair clash in Glendale, Arizona.

Conceicao and Silva share a boxing coach and have trained alongside each other to prepare for their upcoming bouts.

Silva faces Paul this weekend before Conceição, the middleweight champion from Tokyo 2020, makes his must-see UK debut at Probellum Sheffield on Friday, November 11.

“Anderson is very strong, and I think he will beat Jake Paul by knockout,” Conceição predicted.

“Jake Paul is a YouTuber but you can see he is a good boxer too.  It will be a hard fight, but Anderson Silva will win by knockout!

“Training with Anderson Silva is very good.  He is great to talk to, he is good man, a good friend, a good person.  He is a dedicated athlete, all the time – he is confident in this fight.

“This fight is big news in our country, and I am doing commentary on the fight for television in Brazil.”

Conceicao, a 2019 World Amateur Championships bronze medalist, is 2-0 as a professional, having made his debut in August.

And the 24-year-old, a hero in his homeland, cannot wait to showcase his skills to the UK fight fans in Sheffield on November 11.

“It will be a great experience fighting in the UK.  The UK is a country with big boxers, and it will be good for my career for the brilliant British boxing fans to see me in action and to meet so many new people in the sport.

“I believe the British boxing fans will like my style and I will always come to win by knockout.  I want to put on a big show for the fans.”
