WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo "El Felino" Jones (38-3-2, 30KOs) has actually issued a complaint to the World Boxing Association (WBA), demanding the sanctioning body to force his mandatory challenger, interim-champ Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17KOs), to fight. In quite a stirring move, it's rare for the champion to complain to a sanctioning body about the mandatory not pursuing his title opportunity.

"We sent a contract to Lebedev and he did not accept the fight. I demand that the WBA please force the issue for the interim champion to fight. I do not understand what the reason could be that he doesn't doesn't want to fight me, if he is the mandatory challenger for the crown," Jones said.

"As a champion, I demand that the association takes these challengers, who are ranked at #1 and do not want to fight the champion - and remove them from the rankings and bring in other fighters who do want to fight. I'm tired of this. I need the WBA to start forcing boxers to meet their commitments."
