The latest episode of “Premier Boxing Champions” on ESPN averaged 1.073 million viewers during its entire broadcast, which lasted just short of two hours and was headlined by a main event between former 140-pound champion Danny Garcia and faded welterweight Paulie Malignaggi.

That number is according to Nielsen ratings reported by the Sports TV Ratings website. No average nor peak figure was presented specifically for the Garcia-Malignaggi fight alone.

The broadcast was opened by middleweight Daniel Jacobs beating Sergio Mora with an abrupt second-round technical knockout when Mora fractured his ankle. That fight was followed by a swing bout in which welterweight prospect Prichard Colon made quick work of Michael Finney.

It was not the most notable combat card of the night. A UFC pay-per-view featuring superstar Ronda Rousey took place from 10 p.m. Eastern Time far past 1 a.m. The preliminary bouts for that show were aired on Fox Sports 1 and averaged 1.322 million viewers between 8 and 10 p.m. PBC on ESPN aired from 9 p.m. to a few minutes before 11 p.m.

This was the second PBC show on ESPN. The first, a July 11 show that featured Keith Thurman stopping Luis Collazo, averaged 799,000 viewers over the course of the broadcast and peaked at 1.1 million viewers during the main event.

Garcia’s previous appearance, a PBC show on NBC in April against Lamont Peterson, topped out at more than 3 million viewers.
