Promoter Frank Warren revealed that he ordered the corner of Dereck Chisora to stop Saturday's rematch against Tyson Fury at the ExCel Arena in London. Chisora took his fair share of blows to the face and Warren told his trainer to end the contest at the end of the tenth. The fight was for the British, Commonwealth and EBU heavyweight titles. It was also a WBO championship eliminator for a crack at Wladimir Klitschko.

"I told (Chisora's trainer) Don Charles to stop the fight," Warren said. "He was nine rounds behind at that stage and it didn't look like he was going to knock him out. What was the point?

"The punishment he was taking to try get his shots off was not somewhere I wanted him to be. Did he take it well? No, he was pissed off, Dereck is a warrior and he wanted to carry on but that's what we're there for - to look after them as best you can.

"Dereck has rehabilitated himself over the last couple of years, he's worked hard, tonight was sad to see but he should get some credit for that."
