Tijuana, BC. - Far from lamenting the change of opponent, Erik "El Terrible" Morales gladly accepted Dominican boxer Francisco Lorenzo from Argentina to replace Jorge Rodrigo "Hyena" Barrios. Morales defends his silver junior welterweight championship of the WBC on Saturday at Estadio Caliente.

Before his opponent, Morales said that 2011 will be a great year for him.

At a final news conference, "El Terrible" said it was unexpected that a judge had prohibited Argentina's former super featherweight world champion (WBO), Jorge "The Hyena" Barrios, to leave that country due to a pending charge of involuntary homicide, but says he now concentrating on Lorenzo.

"Finally, after 10 years, I return to Tijuana. This beautiful city where I was born as a fighter and as a person. I am calm, I did a great job in camp and put in a great effort. There is no doubt that this is going to be a great fight," Morales said.

"El Terrible" added: "I want your approval to go after that fourth world title. I know that I'm going to get it. I hope to give you a sample on Saturday when I'm in the ring."

José Morales, his father and coach, recalled that Lorenzo beat several Mexicans, including Humberto Soto, the current WBC lightweight champion, and two-time former IBF world champion featherweight, Cristobal Cruz.

There are those who are concerned in the camp of Morales because Lorenzo is known to use dirty tactics.

Morales said - "Others may have had difficulties due to their lack of resources. I'm going to move in the ring and teach Lorenzo how to dance. "

A KO THREAT

The Dominican challenger hoisted his left fist to the cameras and ratified the forecast of his arrival.

"I still think that I'm going to knock him out!" Lorenzo yelled. "I was training for another fight on the same date, which was canceled. I'm fine with the weight."

The Dominican said that he had never lost by knockout and clarified that after Saturday night he will have victories over "three world champions" on his record, with the other being Nate Campbell.
