Danish cruiserweight Detlef "D-struction" Rossing, 8-0, takes on Ukrainian Viktor Polyakov, 13-4-1, September 15 in Copenhagen. Polyakov, a former Olympian, is now based in Germany and mainly campaigned in the past at super middleweight and holds wins over the likes of former world champ Giovanni De Carolis and Derrick Findley.

Polyakov will train in Denmark before the fight and he was in fact chief sparring for Lolenga Mock when Mock prepared for the fight against Dimitri Chudinov.

In another featured fight on the this DFN show super lightweight Enock Poulsen, 7-0, is in tough against Frenchman Renald "Lion" Garrido, 22-20-2. Again, don´t be fooled by Garrido´s record - he will force the fight against anyone from the first bell to the last, can be outboxed but if the local hero isn´t in top condition he will be worn down.

In the co-feature to Karo Murat´s defence of the IBO title against Sven Fornling on September 15 in Luebeck, former IBO titleholder Igor Michalkin will as BoxingScene reported the other day take on former WBA super middle king Manny Siaca.

In another featured bout, welterweight Sebastian Formella, 13-0, defends the WBO Euro title against Ilias Messaoud, 13-0. Cruisers Huseyn Cinkara, 13-0, and Londoner Tony Salam, 11-1, squares off with the WBO Interconti title at stake. Heavyweight Christian Hammer, 22-5, is also on bill.

EBU lightweight champ Edis Tatli retained the title this past weekend and next up should be a defence against mandatory challenger Marvin Petit. There is also talks of a fight against new British star Lewis Ritson. - In a few weeks we will know more, comments Tatli´s trainer Pekka Maeki.

Ulli Kaden, a big amateur star in the former East Germany, will from now on train heavyweight Tom Schwarz, reports MDR. Schwarz was previously trained by former pro Dirk Dzemski but he is now according to SES forced to take a break due to injured hands. Kaden was a two time European champion and holds win over Teofilo Stevenson and Lennox Lewis.

Swedish middleweight Shady Gamhour, 10-0 with all his fights in the US and Mexico and promoted by Roy Jones Jr Promotions, won the vacant WBFoundation Intercontinental Silver title Friday night in Las Vegas with a controversial eight round split decision over Evan Torres, 7-7. Gamhour did all right in the first but was hurt in the second and it was later revealed he had suffered a torn bicep in the right arm. Gamhour bravely fought on and staged a strong finish. He later had surgery and next up is rest and then rehab training.
