Joe "Juggernaut" Joyce's defense of the EBU heavyweight title against former cruiserweight champ Marco Huck goes to purse bids with June 14 as the deadline.

If Joyce (12-0) is interested in going through with the defense is another story though.

As for Huck.(42-5-1) he' had one fight a year for the last three years - partly of course due to the pandemic.

The fight for the vacant EBU lightweight title between Finn Edis Tatli (32-3) and Italian Gianluca Ceglia (16-3-1) is now tentatively set for August 14 with Helsinki or Tampere as sites. This fight has been postponed several times already mainly due to Tatli's shoulder injury and Covid-19.

The chief support will if all works out be a fight between Spaniards Jose Antonio Sanchez Romero (13-0-1) and Cristian Rodriguez (12-5) with the vacant EU 122 lb title at stake. Sanchez Romero resides in Finland for a few years and is thus the "home" fighter.

Spanish promotional company MGZ are in negotiations with French super welterweight Dylan Charrat (20-0-1) about getting him to fight in Spain in July against Kerman Lejarraga (32-2) with the vacant EBU 154 lb title at stake.

If no agreement is made there will be purse bids with June 9 as the deadline.

...

Dane Patrick Nielsen (30-3), who as a super middle challenged Dimitri Chudinov for the WBA Interim title 2014, is about to make a comeback and has a deal in place with promoter Mogens Palle.

There are a few things that need to be worked out though and Patrick has asked for 90 days of training before he is ready to return.

There's also strict coronavirus restrictions in Denmark that need to be changed before Palle dares to return with the Danish Fight Night.

Nielsen was previously one of the main names in Team Sauerland''s Nordic Fight Night concept and showed a big talent but often delivered poor performances due to bad training habits.
