Unable to secure the big names at junior middleweight, WBA champion Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12KOs) could be moving up to the middleweight sooner than anyone had expected, according to his manager Luis DeCubas Jr.

On November 25, Lara will defend his title against big under Jan Zaveck, who held the IBF world title in the welterweight division. The fight headlines a Premier Boxing Champions [PBC] on ESPN from the Hialeah Park Race Track in Florida.

"Erislandy is in tremendous condition, the camp is perfect and it is almost time to fight," DeCubas Jr. told ESPN Deportes. "I think that at this point no one beats him at 154 pounds. He is a fighter who is willing to win at any cost. Lara is the king of this division."

DeCubas Jr. and Lara are planning to watch every significant middleweight fight in the coming months. After those fights are over, they plan to sit down and discuss the possibility of a move in weight.

"We are analyzing the possibility of going to middleweight. We will be watching every fight...Jacobs-Quillin, Lee-Saunders, Cotto-Canelo and Golovkin. The biggest fights at 160 and at 154 pounds, he can win them all," said DeCubas Jr.
