WBO #1 contender  Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KOs) is now going into his final preparations for WBO, IBF & IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KOs). Chambers will have to enter enemy territory to fight for the titles. The bout against Ukrainian takes place on March 20th at ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. In his last fight, 27-year-old American decisioned previously undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko, whose style is comparable to Klitschko. "Fast" took a while to answer few of my questions.

- Firstly, how do you feel? No injuries, no non-scheduled breaks during your camp? Are you already  in shape?

Eddie Chambers: I feel great. No injuries, no problems. Been working very hard and will be very well prepared on March 20th.

- Congratulation on your impressive victory over Alex Dimitrenko. It seemed that you easily handled his height and reach adavantage.

EC: Well... Though Alexander was a great talent and still has a great future, he still lacks a certain discipline to stick to the game plan that he tried to enforce in the early part of the fight... However, the pressure I put on him coupled with the speed and accurate punching was the cause for that.

- Was this experience helpful for Klitschko fight preparations?

EC: So just having the chance to fight a guy that has a similar style to Wladimir was great, but there are gonna be some times in this fight when I will have to take a big step up, because Wladimir is stronger and has the pedigree of a champion and if I'm going to win I will have to raise my level as well...

- You sparred with Wladimir while preparing for Calvin Brock back in 2006. Do you think Klitschko might take you by surprise on March 20th? He's an excellent jabber. Are you able to get inside close enough to hit him?

EC:  I doubt it, he is a true professional and will prepare for me just as he has for the biggest fights in his career. There are certain things that I will do, that I believe will get me where I need to be to attack Klitschko at the proper time. Getting past his jab is nothing if you don't do anything when you get there!

- Is Dimitrenko comparable to Klitschko? Do you expect Wladmir to be much better?

EC: In certain ways they are, but right now Wladimir is more effective because of his strength, his superior conditioning and his championship pedigree. Alexander Dimitrenko is going to be a very big time fighter one day in my opinion though.

- If you win alphabelts from the Ukrainian, who would you like to fight first? Might it be an unification  bout against another "small" heavyweight like David Haye. Or maybe Tomasz Adamek?

EC: Honestly I don't care... Whoever is deserving and poses the biggest challenge because I'm not going to duck anyone. Believe me!

- Pacquiao faces Clottey on March 13th, Mayweather fights Mosley on May 1st. Who do you expect to win? Who is the pound for pound number one in your opinion?

EC: Pacquiao wins, but it will be a tougher fight than most people think and the same goes for the Mosley -Mayweather fight, I think Floyd wins a close unanimous decision... Right now I still think Floyd is number one pound for pound!

- What we now see in heavyweight division some people describe as joke. Will Fast Eddie be the one to bring it back to its best?

EC: Absolutely, because I will fight all the best out there so that fans will get a chance to see that there is a great deal of heavyweight talent out there. We just have to fight each other!

- Are we going to witness Eddie Chambers in the best performance of his life on March 20th? Will ring announcer be forced to say "...and  the new champion of the World, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania..."?

EC: No doubt about it! I've worked so hard to get here, and I'm gonna go out there and get what I've worked so hard for!

- Thank you Eddie, I hope you do well against Klitschko, future is in your hands now.

EC: No problem and thank you.
