On Saturday night inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, Toledo native Robert Easter Jr. takes part in the biggest fight of his life.

He will step in the ring with one of boxer's pound-for-pound best, Mikey Garcia, in a unification fight.

Easter (21-0) will take his IBF lightweight championship, while Garcia (38-0, 30 knockouts) returns to 135-pounds to defend the WBC Title.

Easter left Toledo to train for the last 10 weeks down in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Easter is a major underdog in this fight, but is confident he will shock the world. This fight has been a long time coming and both fighters understand the challenge ahead.

"This fight right here is a big fight, but I look at all my fights like a big fight," says Easter Jr. "But this is a unification bout, champion versus champion, undefeated versus undefeated, two warriors. July 28th, we'll see a lot of fireworks and excitement."

The fight will be the main event of a Showtime televised tripleheader.

During Friday's official weigh-in, Easter went face to face with Garcia and the two of them exchanged a few words.

The victory would by far be the biggest of Easter's unbeaten career.

“All the work is done; the talking is done. Now it’s time to settle this thing in the ring," Easter said.

“I told Mikey there ain’t no more talking. I’m coming in shape. It’s going to be an exciting fight for all the fans that are here from my side and from his side. We’re just ready to fight and put on a great performance for LA.

“This fight is champion vs. champion. It’s going to determine who’s the best, for real. Tomorrow is going to be the best of the best and you’re going to see the best out of me.”
