Five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is still waiting for the title fight contract for his planned November 21 showdown with WBA champion Scott Quigg of Britain in Manchester.

Donaire told the New Standard/BoxingScene.com that he doesn’t know “what else is holding them up” even as he disclosed that he “took the fee (purse) they wanted, the fight in their own town. What else?"

Nonito told us earlier that he had mentioned to Arum not to worry too much about the purse, adding "just get me the fight."

Anyway, Donaire said he has opened his training camp at the Top Rank Gym in Las Vegas and has been joined by his father/trainer Nonito “Dodong” Donaire Sr.

He said training has been “so far, so good.”

Having trained hard for his last two fights and staying in shape for the fight against Quigg. Donaire said he didn’t have to start from the beginning.”

Donaire told us he would probably begin sparring in a week or two, adding “I’m ready.”

The 2012 “Fighter of the Year” said “I feel excellent” and that the plan is to whip Quigg “with more than the left hook” which Nonito is well known for.
