BoxingScene.com caught up with Diego Chaves shortly after he lost by disqualification to Brandon Rios on Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan on the Las Vegas strip.

Chaves was obviously very frustrated with the DQ loss and felt the disqualification was unwarranted.

When BoxingScene.com's Rick Reeno asked Chaves to compare Rios' power to one of his 2013 opponents, Keith Thurman - the Argentine took a shot at Rios instead.

"Thurman had much more mobility and speed while Rios is just a punching bag," Chaves stated.

Chaves landed several clean shots on  Rios but the iron chinned Oxnard, California resident handled them very well. When I asked Chaves what he thought about Rios continuously smiling after getting hit he said that was because the punches were hurting him.

"The only thing that impressed me with Rios is the amount of punches that he took. When he smiled is when it hurt the most," Chaves told BoxingScene.com.
