New York - WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KO’s) has been on the road traveling since he drew with Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19 KO’s) on December 1.

The fight between the two is a hot topic and Wilder is a hot name in the world of sports. Wilder was on hand this past weekend in Brooklyn where he saw Jermell Charlo (31-1, 15 KO’s) loss his title to Tony Harrison (28-2, 15 KO’s). Some are calling the fight close and some are calling it a controversial decision.

Wilder didn’t score the fight but hopes Charlo comes back even better.

“A loss or a draw can be a great thing but it all depends on where your minds at.,” Wilder told BoxingScene.com. “It can make you honest and humble. That’s how you become a 3-time 4-time champion. A lot of people want to see how you fall and get back up. That’s what people turn into see how you get back up.”

The draw on Wilder’s record was also controversial with Fury as many had Fury defeating Wilder even though Wilder dropped Fury twice and nearly had him out in the 12th of their clash inside the Staples Center. Wilder though says he’s not in it to protect an undefeated record but in it to be the best.

“I’m not worried about an undefeated record,” stated Wilder. “If I happen to lose, then so be it, watch my comeback and see how I get back. Blessings to all those that get in the ring, we put our life on the line for people’s entertainment.”

Wilder acknowledged that he did not see any of the heavyweight boxing from England that weekend but did say he heard that people in the 02 Arena were booing Anthony Joshua (22-0, 21 KO’s). However with that being said, he wants to fight Tyson Fury before Joshua or his mandatory who won in Brooklyn Saturday Dominic Breazale(20-1, 18 KO’s).

“The heavyweight divisions is so lit,” stated Wilder. “My mandatory (Dominic Breazale) wants me next. I’m going with Tyson Fury for sure. We have to do the rematch. It was a controversial fight and when it’s like that, you have to come back. It can’t be no draws. There’s a winner and a loser.”

Wilder wanted to make it clear that he’s the only one fighting the best.

“Nobody doing what I’m doing. I’m fighting killers back to back.”
