Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya expects Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs) to present a big challenge to WBC welterweight king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

De La Hoya expects Guerrero to be an even tougher opponent than former three division champion Miguel Cotto, who gave Mayweather more trouble than most people expected last May. De La Hoya feels all of the stars are aligned for a potential major upset in what is going to be Mayweather's debut on Showtime Pay-Per-View.

"Miguel Cotto gave Mayweather a tough fight, a relatively tough fight. I think it's going to be an even tougher fight for Mayweather [with Guerrero]...the fact that [Guerrero] is younger, the fact that he's stronger and in his prime, the fact that he's already seen what Cotto did to Mayweather. And you also have to take into consideration that Mayweather is 36-years-old, so he's not moving as much. Maybe he's smarter because he has to defend himself better, but it's going to be a real physical fight," De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com.
