Former two division world champion David Haye believes there is no reason to make a trilogy fight between Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Smith.

In January, Smith secured a shocking upset when he knocked Eubank out in four rounds.

On Saturday night in Manchester, Eubank dominated nearly every round of fight - scoring two knockdowns and stopping Smith in the tenth.

Now that both fighters stand at 1-1 in their two-fight series, some have suggested the possibility of a trilogy encounter.

In the opinion of Haye, Eubank didn't take the first fight seriously and is now more focused with trainer Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre leading the team.

"I thought [Smith] showed a lot of heart, a lot of guts, a lot of balls.... a lot of fighters would have took a knee a long time prior to that stoppage, a lot of corners would have thrown in the towel. It was a sustained beating from round three onwards. It was pretty much one-sided and I don't think there is anyone who wants to see a rubbermatch there. There won't be interest in a third fight because this fight was so conclusive," Haye told Radio Rahim of Seconds Out.

"There is nothing that Liam Smith had done that could suggest that he could win a third fight. Now that Chris knows the level of Liam Smith he prepared as such. The first fight I think it was down to his lack of mental and physical preparation for the fight.... just assuming that he's a naturally gifted athlete and that he's a great fighter that that would be enough. No, you have to work, and he's got Bomac and the team now making sure that [everything is done right] and it was very, very evident in there."
