New York—Duva Boxing's popular "Ding A Ling Man" Darnell Wilson gets a crack at the world title when he challenges champion Firat Arslan for the WBA Cruiserweight Championship on Saturday night, May 3 at Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Hall in Stuttgart, Germany.

"This is my dream. Nobody can stop me from becoming world champion on May 3. I knew all along that I deserved my shot but at times it seemed like it was never going to happen," said Wilson. "I knocked off four world rated fighters in a row at one point and I am glad justice has now been done".

Dino Duva, Wilson's promoter and President of Duva Boxing, believes this opportunity is a gift from God that his fighter is not taking for granted, training harder than ever before.

"Boxing works in funny ways sometimes. Darnell has been waiting for a well-earned title shot for a long time and now it finally comes after the loss to Flores," added Duva. "Darnell knows this is an unbelievable opportunity and I am confident he will make the best of it and win the title."

Wilson (23-6-3, 20 KO's) is coming off a round 6 TKO victory over Robert Marsh on March 15 in Virginia. In his previous fight, on February 8 at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, Wilson lost a tough decision to BJ Flores in a bout for the USBA Cruiserweight title.

Wilson is currently in Fort Lauderdale putting the finishing touches on training camp. The regimen of workouts included two weeks of intense sparring, plyometrics and four mile runs complimented by sprints. The plyometrics have strengthened Wilson's core and will help him recover faster, deliver more punches and hit harder than ever before.

"I am pretty ripped. When I am at that press conference, everybody will see what tremendous shape I am in," adds Wilson. "Nobody will punch with me for 12 rounds. I am going to knock Arslan's head off. I am prepared to go 12 rounds and could even do 15 but I am a knock out artist and if that opportunity presents itself, I will take full advantage."
