Adrien Broner (35-4-1) picked up his first win in over 2 years when he dominated Bill Hutchinson (20-3-4) over 10 rounds.  The final scores were 100-90 and 99-91 twice.

The fight took place at Casino Miami Jai Alai in Miami, Florida was his first under the promotional banner of Hall of Fame promoter Don King.

Broner was a heavy favorite going into the fight but his trainer Kevin Cunningham was very happy that he was able to get 10 rounds in and shake off the ring rust.

“I thought AB put on good performance Friday night considering the fact that he’s been out of the ring for 2 1/2 years. I knew Bill Hutchinson would come to fight. He hasn’t lost a fight in seven years and he’s a MMA fighter also so I knew he was tough,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

“If AB hadn’t hurt his hand in the sixth round, he would’ve stopped Hutchinson. I think it was also good to get the rounds in. All in all, it was a good night for AB and we’ll take it one fight at a time.”

Broner’s previous fight was a unanimous decision victory over Puerto Rico’s Jovanie Santiago in February, 2020.

The former four-division champion holds victories over former champions Daniel Ponce De Leon, Paulie Malignaggi, and Antonio DeMarco.

He has also been in the ring with the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Mikey Garcia and Jessie Vargas.
