Former world title challenger Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna is gearing up for a comeback journey as he sets his sights on another world title opportunity and seeks to avenge a devastating KO loss against Erislandy Lara from their May 1, 2021 world title bout.

Reflecting on the matchup, Cornflake stated, "That night against Lara was a turning point in my career. It was tough to overcome what happened because up until that point, I worked my entire life to get there, and while I didn't get the result I wanted, it only strengthened me. I know I have the skills and determination to win a world title, and I'm ready to prove it."

In addition to his unwavering dedication to boxing, "Cornflake" LaManna has also displayed remarkable resilience in his personal life.

Following the knockout loss to Lara, LaManna faced a challenging battle with severe mental health issues and depression. He courageously confronted these inner demons, seeking professional help and turning to his support network for strength. Through a combination of self-reflection, and the unwavering support of his family, friends, and fans, LaManna emerged from this difficult period stronger than ever.

His triumph over mental health adversity stands as a testament to his character and inner fortitude, inspiring others to confront their own struggles and find the strength to persevere. LaManna's story serves as a reminder that true champions are not only defined by their victories in the ring but also by their ability to conquer the challenges life throws their way.

Since that loss, LaManna has continued to hone his craft and refine his skills. Over the past few years, LaManna has compiled a streak of six (6) consecutive wins, capturing multiple WBA regional titles along the way. These victories have propelled him to the #3 position in the WBA middleweight world ratings.

"Make no mistake; I want that rematch with Lara. That knockout felt like a fluke, and I know I have more to show. I've worked tirelessly to get back in this position, and when that opportunity comes, I'm going to seize the moment and prove that I belong among the best in the world," LaManna said.

"I want to thank all my fans and supporters from all around the world for their unwavering support throughout this journey. I promise to give it my all and leave everything in the ring as I pursue my dream of becoming a world champion. The rematch with Lara is on my mind, and I'm ready to make it happen."
