Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman has advised BoxingScene.com that unbeaten featherweight prospect Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz (21-0 13 KOs) will face Carlos Ruiz (15-3-1) in the main event of the June 23rd Solo Boxeo card. This edition of the popular series that is aired by UniMas will take place in Kissimmee, Fla.

The co-feature bout will feature another unbeaten Puerto Rican with Jean Carlos "Chapito" Rivera (11-0 6 KOs) facing Edgar Cantu (7-1-2). Both fights are scheduled for 8 rounds.

2016 Honduran Olympian Teofimo Lopez Jr. (5-0 5 KO's) will also appear on the card against an opponent to be determined. He has stopped all four of his opponents inside the distance this year after winning his pro debut by knockout last November on the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas undercard.

Diaz is 2-0 with 2 knockouts in 2017 and Rivera, who frequently fights on the same cards as Diaz, is also 2-0 with one stoppage victory so far this year.

Lopez was in action this past Saturday night, when he knocked out Ronald Rivas in two rounds on the Terence Crawford vs. Felix Diaz card at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Rivera also saw action in February and April, stopping Roberto Corea in four rounds and then won an eight round unanimous decision over Jesus Pacheco.

Diaz stopped Efrain Esquivias in seven rounds in February, and then put away Jose Estrrella in three rounds in April.
