Panamanian star Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (33-1-1, 12KOs), the bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association, is likely going to make his eleventh defense on October 20th at the Barclays Center in New York City. Moreno's co-promoter, Carlos Gonzalez, says Moreno will defend his title in October at a new stadium in New York. Golden Boy Promotions, who handle Moreno in the United States, are planning a big event for their debut event at the venue.

"The next fight for Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno will be in the United States, in New York, and its going to take place in a new stadium," said Gonzalez.

Moreno, 26 years old, has been champion since defeating Wladimir Sydorenko in 2008. He made his tenth defense on the 21st of April against David De La Mora, whom he defeated by TKO in nine rounds.
