Undefeated light heavyweight boxer Joe Calzaghe has revealed he will make a decision about his future after Christmas. Following his recent win over Roy Jones Junior the Welshman’s future has been subject to much speculation.

Calzaghe told Setanta Sports News he would just ‘enjoy Christmas with the family and make a decision afterwards.’

“It was a hard, hard training camp for me. There was a lot of pressure going into the fight and I really have to evaluate the situation and the risks involved in fighting.”

The 36 year-old southpaw added that he wanted to draw a line under his career at the top of his game.

“Who is there left to beat? I’ve beaten all the big names. Kelly Pavlik got his arse kicked by Bernard Hopkins so that knocks him out of the equation.

“In my last few fights I’ve achieved everything I want to achieve. I’ll make my decision after Christmas.”

Tim Bradley wants Hatton fight

WBC light welterweight champion Tim Bradley would love to fight Ricky Hatton here in the UK. The 25 year-old Californian defeated Junior Witter for the WBC title back in May.

Bradley told Setanta Sports News that Witter wanted a rematch but, ultimately, Hatton was the fight he was after.

“Witter is definitely calling my number. He wants something that I took from him. He’s definitely looking for revenge. He’s working his way up through the rankings and I’m sure he’ll be back as mandatory challenger pretty soon.

“But Ricky is the dream fight. I don’t know if he wants to fight against a young hungry fighter like myself. But, if he does, I would love to get it on with him here in England.”
