BELL, CALIF. --- Timothy Bradley will be paying close attention to the fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado on Saturday night at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on HBO, because he will be working as a commentator for the international feed.

Bradley is very familiar with Marquez, having pulled out a split decision over the Mexican legend in October, and he's very knowledgeable about the fight game.

"I mean, this is a pick 'em fight, man," Bradley said. "It's hard to pick who is going to win this fight. I think both fighters are capable of doing it. I'm gonna be on the fence on this one. I'm gonna be watching this as a fan. I just want to see a good fight like everybody else."

What does it take to beat a a fighter like Marquez?

"He's a tough guy," Bradley said. "He's very smart, very intelligent fighter. He's a very crafty guy. You just got to be smart to beat a guy like that."

Bradley said Marquez is "the best counterpuncher" he's ever been in the ring with. So what does Alvarado have to do to win?

"Alvarado just has to listen to his corner," Bradley said. "I don't know what their game plan is, but I know Alvarado does well when he comes forward. I know he does really well when he comes forward. At times, he likes to box. I don't think it's his best attribute, but he can do it. But I think going forward is his best chance to win the fight and outpunch Marquez, because we all know with Marquez he typically throws 40-50 punches per round. It's not high output, but he's so accurate and that's what makes him so dangerous and he has power in both hands. I would think Alvarado would have to press the tempo a little bit, but also be cautious and be aware defensively to be able to get out of the way when Marquez counters."
