Ben Whittaker will stay true to a vow to remain far more active in 2024.

The flamboyant light heavyweight prospect is confirmed to return to the ring on March 31, in supporting capacity to the already announced Fabio Wardley-Frazer Clarke British heavyweight title fight. An opponent was not yet confirmed for West Bromwich's Whittaker, whose placement on the show comes on the heels of his fifth-round knockout of  Khalid Graidia earlier this month.

“Activity for me is the key,” Whittaker told BoxingScene.com prior to the Graidia bout. “My plan for this year is to build my profile and become a household name. We wanted a higher-profile fight and a ten-rounder but this is just to get me in the ring early in the year.

“I want to fight at least five times in 2024, perhaps even pick up some sort of title before the end of the year and get ranked.”

The March 31 show will air live on Sky Sports in the U.K. and Peacock+ in the U.S. from The O2 in London.

Whittaker (6-0, 5KOs) went viral following his most recent performance, largely for his in-ring antics en route to his stoppage win over Graidia.

The showboating and entertainment value only further enhanced his already love-hate relationship with most in the industry. The sport's uptight traditionalists took issue with his dancing and mocking of his opponent, while those who don't mind the sideshow continue to enjoy the spark he provides.

“The reaction to Ben Whittaker’s performance against Khalid Graidia has been incredible," said Ben Shalom, founder and CEO of BOXXER. "It shows the power of social media. He gained hundreds of thousands of followers overnight and there’s clips of him online with millions and millions of views.

"We’ve known from day one that we’ve got a superstar on our hands with Ben Whittaker. With his style and personality, we believe he can become the biggest star in world boxing.”

Whittaker will now fight for the second time on the year, and third time in a span of sixteen weeks. Earlier career injuries proved to be a nuisance for the 26-year-old, who earned a Silver medal for Great Britain during the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

His placement on the show marks the fourth confirmed undercard slot.

BOXXER previously announced the Florian Marku-Chris Kongo welterweight grudge match, along with the return of Alen Babic who faces Steve Robinson in his first fight since a first round knockout loss to Lukasz Rozanski in their WBC bridgerweight title fight last April 22 in Poland. Light heavyweight contender Callum Simpson is also due to appear in preliminary action versus an opponent to be determined.
