There has been a lot of talk surrounding a possible showdown between WBA 122-pound belt-holder Scott Quigg and multi-divisional champion Nonito Donaire. It would be an intriguing crossroads match-up with a lot on the line. So is this fight coming to fruition?

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum - who just returned to the States after his vacation - told Boxingscene.com:

"When I was in London, I had dinner with Barry Hearn we agreed on the fight and ABS-CBN -the Philippines station - was looking to put it on live and Barry gave me the terms that would be acceptable to his side and if failing that we would put it on November 21st in Manchester, England and he gave me the terms for that."

There had been talk of putting this fight on a card that would take place in Dubai.

"I'm waiting till the end of the week to see if the Dubai thing comes through because it's appreciably more money and if it doesn't, we'll do the Quigg fight England."

As for who would broadcast this fight, Arum explained - "I would go to HBO and ask them to televise it on the afternoon of November 21st which would be a way to help publicize the Cotto-Canelo fight which takes place on pay-per-view that night."
