Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum says Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) is not ahead of the pack when it comes to being a fall opponent for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs).

Arum views four division champion Adrien Broner and WBC/WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford as being far more viable opponents to fight Pacquiao in November on pay-per-view.

Khan has been inactive since last May, when he was knocked out in six rounds by Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at a catch-weight of 155-pounds.

A fight between Pacquiao and Khan had been agreed upon last month for a date of April 23rd and taking place in UAE, but the investors who promised to financially back that fight were unable to come up with the promised funds of $38 million.

Broner just came back to the ring with a tough decision win over Adrian Granados, and Crawford is scheduled to defend his titles in the coming months.

"No, not really [will the fight with Khan happen in the fall], because I think that when we come to November, I think that there are other candidates that would probably do a lot better, particularly on US pay-per-view, like either Adrien Broner or Terence Crawford," Arum told BoxingScene.com.

"Guys like that, who probably have more credibility at this point, in this country, than Amir Khan does."

As far as Pacquaio's next fight, Arum is targeting a date in July to work around the Filipino star's work schedule as a senator in the Philippines. If the fight takes place in Australia, then he will likely face 2012 Olympian Jeff Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs).

"If the fight is going to be in Australia, then it probably will be Jeff Horn. If it's somewhere else, then it may not be. We are probably targeting sometime in July now, when the Philippine Senate will be once again in recess," Arum said.
