Light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev is a very happy man, after learning that he's going to fight for a world title in November.

Beterbiev is scheduled to fight German boxer Enrico Koelling, on November 11 in Fresno, California.

The was initially sanctioned as a final eliminator, but recently it was sanctioned as a battler for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight title. The decision came down after reigning world champion Andre Ward announced his retirement last Thursday, and that left the vacant title.

Beterbiev has been waiting for this moment for a very long time.

"I am really happy. It's very exciting," reacted Beterbiev to TVA Sports. "I'm looking forward to finally getting a world championship fight. I'm ready. It is my dream [to win a world title] and I feel that it is now getting close."

This time, Beterbiev (11-0, 11 KOs) has already obtained his entry visa to the United States. Originally, he was scheduled to face Koelling (23-1, 6 KOs) on the 29th of July, but he was unable to get the proper visa document. Therefore, the confrontation had to be canceled.

Moreover, his ongoing legal dispute with promoter Yvon Michel of GYM could soon be resolved.

Beterbiev stated that "the situation is improving" and that he had "good news," but that he could not talk about it.

In the last few weeks, the two parties participated in their respective interrogations before a judge of the Superior Court of Quebec. Unless there is an out-of-court agreement, they will meet again at the trial, which could be presented at the end of November at the earliest.

Beterbiev also confirmed that he had not reached any agreement with Top Rank or any other promoter.

"We must not believe the rumors," he said with a smile.
