IBF middleweight champion King Arthur Abraham (24-0, 19 KOs) has firmly set his sights on a unification showdown with either Jermain Taylor or Kelly Pavlik. The undefeated 27-year-old, who takes on Britain´s Wayne Elcock in Switzerland on Saturday night, has big plans for 2008. "We will stage his next mandatory title defence in Europe in spring and then eye a unification fight in the USA against the winner of the meeting between Pavlik and Taylor," manager Wilfried Sauerland revealed at today´s press conference in Basle.

Ready to conquer the other side of the ocean, Abraham is taking one step at a time. "All my focus is on the fight against Elcock," he said. "We have trained very hard in the past months. I feel like I am at 90 percent right now. On Saturday it will be 100 percent."

Elcock (18-2, 8 KOs), who last defeated Howard Eastman, is full of respect for his hard-hitting opponent. "Of course I respect him very much," he said. "He is the undefeated world champion. But I have studied him carefully and believe I have a chance to win."

Meanwhile, Danilo Haussler (29-3, 7 KOs) hopes history will be repeating itself on Saturday night when he clashes with European super-middleweight champion Cristian Sanavia (40-3, 12 KOs). The experienced German already defeated his Italian opponent once (July 2005). He is now looking to do the same trick again. "The victory will give me a slight psychological advantage," Haussler said. "He is a strong opponent but I certainly fancy my chances."

Sanavia revealed the first meeting has played a vital part during his preparation. "I have watched and analysed the tape many times," he stated. "I have learned from my mistakes. We have prepared very well. I am very optimistic for Saturday."

Also in action will be former world title contender Danny Williams (37-6, 30 KOs) and Oleg Platov (26-1, 22 KOs), who fight for the IBF intercontinental heavyweight title. "Platov is a very strong opponent," Williams said. "But a win will help me to raise my profile in the world and European rankings."
