The world featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Jhonny Gonzalez, smiled away as a very excited Jorge "El Travieso" Arce was warning him of a brutal fight on Saturday, October 4, at the Multipurpose Center of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. The event will be co-promoted by the Osvaldo Kuchle and Zanfer Promotions, with Televisa Deportes televising the contest.

"I want to prove to them that I am very persistent and whatever I propose to do - I succeed. Be careful, because today I propose that I'm going to get a sixth world title win on Saturday and make history in my country, "Arce said. "I don't know what the champion is willing or not willing to do, but I am willing to die fighting. Watch out, because I'm willing to do anything and I'll have to be dead to get me out of that ring without a victory."

Gonzalez has a record of 56 wins, 47 of these by knockout, in exchange for eight defeats. Meanwhile, Arce has a record of 64 wins, 49 knockouts, seven defeats and two draws.
