The Magic Man wants to see if he has any tricks left in the bag.

Former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver will return to the ring at the age of 52 to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in a 10-round heavyweight boxing match on April 17 as a co-featured attraction on the Jake Paul versus Ben Askren fight on Triller pay per view in Atlanta.

"I am a competitor. I have been all my life," the 41-year-old Mir wrote in a tweet on Thursday. "I take on challenges to grow and better myself as a person. I have always wanted to test myself in the boxing ring so when this opportunity arose I jumped on it. See you April 17th Antonio Tarver."

The International Boxing Hall of Fame candidate Tarver posted a video of a signed and notarized contract on Feb. 22 telling Triller to “show me my opponent … I’m back.”

Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KOs) has not fought since 2015, a split draw against Steve Cunningham. Tarver failed a second test in three years following the Cunningham fight, and it was the last time the former Showtime Boxing analyst ever fought.

The Florida native Tarver is unbeaten in his last six fights after suffering back-to-back losses to Chad Dawson in 2008 and 2009.

Tarver is best remembered for his trilogy against Roy Jones Jr., which included a majority decision loss in 2003, a hellacious second-round TKO win in 2004 and a unanimous decision win in 2005. Tarver also won a bronze medal for the United States during the 1996 Olympics.

The MMA star Mir (19-13) was last in a fight in October 2019 under the Bellator banner scoring a win over Roy Nelson. The victory stopped a four-fight losing streak for the Las Vegas-based fighter.

Mir is known for his ground game, as he owns the most submissions (8) and finishes (13) in UFC heavyweight history.
