On November 23rd, Andy Ruiz Jr. (20-0) will have the biggest opportunity of his career when he faces Tor Hamer (21-2) on the Manny Pacquiao-Brandon Rios televised pay-per-view undercard. Ruiz said that he fully intends to take advantage of the opportunity that is being presented to him.

"It feels good being blessed. I've worked hard for this opportunity to come and it is just my time to shine and show the people what I am made of. This is a big opportunity to shine. I can't let this slip away and I am going to do what I have to do to take down Tor Hamer," Ruiz explained.

The heavyweight prospect looks at this fight as another step in his progression to become a world champion. He believes that a year from now he will be ready to contend for a world title.

"I think maybe the end of next year I'll be ready for a title. Give me one more year and I think I'll be ready," said Ruiz.

The 20-year-old Las Vegas resident finished our conversation by promising that he will put on an explosive performance.

"The fans are going to see a good fight on November 23rd. Andy Ruiz always comes to put on a good fight for the fans," Ruiz told BoxingScene.com.
