Carolina, Puerto Rico – The undisputed 126-pound world champion Amanda Serrano is training at full steam in her native Puerto Rico, with a view to her fight on Saturday, August 5 in the city of Dallas, Texas.

Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) will defend the WBO, IBF, WBC, WBA titles against Heather Hardy (24-2, 4 KOs) in a rematch that will take place at the American Airlines Center.

The main event will feature Youtube star turned boxer Jake Paul taking on MMA veteran Nate Díaz, as a pay-per-view card being streamed by DAZN.

“I have been training very hard in Puerto Rico. I made a small gym in the canopy of my house. I am without distractions, very focused as we are in all of my fights and I feel right now, a month from the fight, ready for war against Heather Hardy," said Serrano.

“Hardy was the first female boxer to give me the opportunity to start my journey to being the undisputed 126-pound champion. We met in New York in January 2019, and it was 10 interesting rounds. She was able to survive a dominant first round from me, but she was able to adjust and show why she is world class. I remember that we were not the headline fight, but we had the attention. Small steps to give the legacy that women's boxing deserves.

"A sellout is expected before a euphoric crowd in Dallas and God willing, we will continue to show that women's boxing is a vital part of a card of this magnitude."

Jordan Maldonado, Serrano's trainer and manager indicated, “Amanda always trains with her heart 100 percent. She's ready to fight 15 rounds if they let her. Being the undisputed champion has motivated her to train as if she were the challenger.

"Puerto Rico is very important to Amanda and if everything goes well we will soon announce something that will make the island very happy."
