WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri, who challenges Manny Pacquiao for the WBO's 147-pound title on November 22nd in Macau, gave his breakdown on tonight's eagerly anticipated WBA/WBO/IBF light heavyweight unification between Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev. The HBO televised main event takes place at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Algieri is siding with the 49-old-veteran, believing his skills and experience will overcome the much younger puncher from Russia.

"I think Hopkins [wins]. I'm going with the experience and the ring IQ. The man is a genius in there. He does a lot of things that people don't understand. People think that he's not that busy. He's the busiest fighter there is....every little thing he does is for a reason. That foot work, that shoulder move, that head fake - all of those things are incribley fine and work. I don't know if Kovalev has seen anything lie that. If Hopkins can take it late, I really can see him taking over and being a master," Algieri said.
