IBF heavyweight title contender and one of the most promising prospects Alexander Povetkin told about his plans and the work with his new trainer Teddy Atlas in the interview to Allboxing.ru.

"I’m satisfied with the work with Teddy Atlas”, - says Alexander. – “He's a good person and a good trainer. He is flawless from the professional point of view. Now we mainly work on my defense. When you make fewer moves, you have more opportunities, you can see more. He pays attention not only to “physical” aspects, like punch or dodging; he also creates boxing philosophy. He’s really very nice and interesting man. Teddy Atlas teaches me the perception of boxing”.

As for the possible title bout with Wladimir Klitschko, Povetkin still doesn't have any news. Despite of that he says that he’s looking forward to this fight and hopes that it will come around in 2010.

“The main thing for me now is to go forward”, - the boxer continues. – “I want to fight in March, irrespective of how the issue with title bout will be resolved. I'm ready and I want to fight. It's another question if the fight for the belt will be postponed. I think the most important is to go towards your goal and the title bout will come around. But I don't want to stand and wait for it".

Alexander also admitted that he considers the Klitschko brothers to be the strongest fighters in the division. "As we've seen in their last bouts they have no equals”, - he said. – “All their opponents were completely destroyed and couldn’t show anything at all. Of course they are strong fighters and deserve respect. But we’ll see what future brings”.
