Russian super bantamweight Alexander Bakhtin (31-0, 12 KOs) continued to pile up wins this Sunday as he stopped overmatched Colombian Yogli Herrera (22-16, 15 KOs) in four one-sided rounds at Balashikha Arena in Balashikha, a satellite city of Moscow, Russia. Herrera got up to a fresh start but was gradually nullified by the Russian and then beaten into submission.

The IBO 122lb champion, who is also ranked #3 by the WBA, #4 by the WBC and #5 by the IBF, was first scheduled to face the Argentinean veteran Sergio Carlos Santillan, who was then replaced by the Mexican Carlos Rodriguez, and finally the Colombian veteran came in as a late dance partner for the still undefeated Bakhtin.

It is still unclear if the IBO belt was at stake in this particular contest but the 31-year old Russian stylist is still the International Boxing Organization super bantamweight champion. Herrera, on the other hand, has lost his thirteenth straight.
