TUNICA, MS – Prize Fight Boxing and Super Promotions present “Take It Outside” on April 13th, 2007 at the Fitz Casino and Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi.   The fight card will be televised live on ESPN2 with Zab Judah (34-4, 25 KO’s) versus Ruben Galvan (27-11-2, 10 KO’s) in the 10-round main event.

The outside setting will offer a scenic view of the mighty Mississippi River as the ring will be set up a mere 100 feet from the river banks.  The April 13th bout is a must win bout for Judah 34-4 (25 KO’s) as he must get past the gritty Galvan in order to battle undefeated WBA World Champion Miguel Cotto 29-0 (24 KO’s) on June 9th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Terms for the Cotto versus Judah showdown have already been agreed upon but the fight will only take place if Judah defeats Galvan on April 13th.

Judah’s co-promoter Brian Young is excited about what the future holds for him, “Zab has the opportunity to dominate the welterweight division again. Consequently, it all starts April 13th against Ruben Galvan.  Zab must handle his business against Galvan and then prepare for his career defining fight against Cotto June 9th.”  Young and Judah both wanted the fight on April 13th to be moved outside to accommodate the heavily anticipated fight crowd.  Likewise, the environment will be much similar to years past in Las Vegas when most fights were held outside, which will make for an electrifying night.

Opening the ESPN broadcast on April 13th will be undefeated Flyweight prospect Rayonta Whitfield (16-0, 8 KO’s) as he battles Jonathan Perez (12-1, 9 KO’s) for the NABO Flyweight Title.   The winner of this 12 round bout is sure to garner a top 10 world ranking from the WBO.   Whitfield has fought many times in the Tunica and Memphis area, most recently on January 20, 2007 as he pounded out a workmanlike victory over Alejandro Moreno at the Fitz Casino. Featured on the undercard will be a battle of undefeated fighters as Joell Godfrey (6-0, 4 KO’s) from East St. Louis, Illinois squares off against DeLeon Tinsley (7-0, 5 KO’s) from Orlando, Florida in a 6 round heavyweight bout.

In addition, former world title challenger Antonio Davis (22-3, 11 KO’s) will also be in action along with Southaven, Mississippi’s Jason Ross as he slugs it out with Bo Skipper (11-3-2, 7 KO’s) in a 4 round light heavyweight contest.  Gates will open for the 5 bout card at 7:00 PM and the first bout will begin at 8:00 PM.  VIP ringside seats are $75 and general admission seating is $35. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 9th and can be purchased at the Fitz Casino Gift Shop or by calling the Fitz at (800) 766-5825 x8291 or by calling the Prize Fight Boxing offices at (662) 349-6263.
