IBF female super middleweight champ Elin Cederroos (7-0) was a late starter in boxing after a successful career in football (soccer for you Americans) and began boxing at the age of 28 and had her first amateur fight around 2013. She turned pro in 2017 and while she lives and fights out of Vasteras she´s only fought once in Sweden.

The rest of her fights have been in Spain simply because it´s easier to promote fights over longer distance than 12 minutes outside of Sweden and its difficult legislation around professional boxing. She won the IBF title in Belgium beating Femke Hermans and it took a day or two for the main stream media to discover that there was a new world champion from Sweden.

On January 10 in Atlantic City, Cederroos takes on Alicia Napoleon-Espinosa in what is the by far biggest fight of her career. She enters the ring as an underdog but is in with a good chance of an upset due to her size, strength and decent punching power. What speaks against her is of course her lack of experience.
