Junior middleweight prospect Yudel Jhonson continues his training to get in peak physical condition for his upcoming showdown with  Mexico's Norberto Gonzalez.

The two collide on Friday June 06 at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. The scheduled 10-round affair is part of a card that will air live on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.

"We capitalized on the training we did for my last fight in Pennsylvania on April 4th. I am feeling great and working hard on my explosiveness to give the boxing fans an exciting fight," Jhonson commented from training camp. "I think because of the styles, this will be a good fight.

"Gonzalez is a tough fighter and will give the best of each other to give boxing fans an exciting fight on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights."

Jhonson defeated Lenwood Dozier by unanimous decision in 8 rounds this past April in Monroeville, PA. The win advanced his record to 15-1 (9KO). In this fight versus Gonzalez (20-3-0, 13 KO), Johnson has a chance to improve his  position in the rankings as he is looking for a world title fight soon.

"We're going to Verona, NY with a different mindset," Jhonson insists. "We are working on being even more aggressive because boxing fans deserve to enjoy a great fight. In this fight, boxing fans will see a more aggressive Jhonson, fighting non-stop."
