On the night of April 15th at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, junior middleweights Yoshihiro Kamegai (26-3-2, 23KOs) and Jesus Soto-Karass (28-10-4, 18KOs) battled to hard-fought ten round split draw.

This Saturday night at the Forum in Inglewood, California they do it again, this time on HBO as the co-feature to the WBC super flyweight title clash between unbeaten fighters Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez and Carlos Caudras.

When asked to recall their first meeting, Kamegai said through an interpreter,"I remember getting cut and panicking a little bit and I remember him coming out in the last round and throwing a lot of punches."

It was a close fight that could've gone either way but after ten rounds it was ruled a dead head. When asked if he felt he had done enough to get his hands raised in victory, the rugged Japanese fighter answered - "Honestly, with a Mexican crowd rooting for him, being loud and me getting cut, I really couldn't tell you."

So what happens this weekend?

"I want to be smarter and I want to move more but it all depends how he comes out," said Kamegai, who understands that when it's all said and done, their two styles are made to be fan-friendly. "Even if it doesn't come out to be a similar fight, I think the Forum is going to be excited."
