Buffalo Thunder Casino, Pojoaque, New Mexico -  Welterweight Bryant Perrella (14-1, 13 KOs) suffered his first career defeat when he was dropped twice, dominated and stopped by Cuban contender Yordenis Ugas (17-3, 8 KOs)

The fight got off to quick start with Ugas scoring a fast knockdown in the first minute of round one.  It was first time Perrella had been down. Perrella was having a lot of trouble with the speed and quick right hands of Ugas.

Ugas continued to tag him in the second round and started mixing up those shots with hooks to the body. Perrella was a little gun-shy, worrying about the fast counters that were coming back.

Ugas dominated the third round and cracked Perrella down for a second time in the fourth with yet another hard right hand. Perrella's face was starting to look like a mess. Perrella was getting busted up against the ropes and the referee jumped in to wave off the contest.

In a battle of undefeated junior welterweights, Ryan Karl (13-0, 9KOs) stopped Jose Quezada (11-1, 6KOs) in four rounds. Karl is trained by veteran coach Ronnie Shields.

In the first, Quezada was rocked by an uppercut and then a moment later he was hurt, and dropped, from a series of hard right hands. The clock was over before Karl could follow up. Karl continued to bust Quezada up with hard shots in the second round. Quezada seemed to recover in the third, but he was drilled with several right hands once again went down in the final ten seconds of the fourth. He was badly hurt and the ringside doctor, along with the corner, would not allow Quezada to come out for the fifth.

Cesar Alan Valenzuela (13-4-1) shocked Dennis Galarza (13-2, 8KOs) with an eight round split decision. The scores were 77-75 Galarza and 77-75 twice for Valenzuela.
