ORANGE, CA – It’s the biggest step of any young prospect’s career, the opportunity to perform in front of a national television audience against one of their peers.  On Friday, October 5th, four fistic up and comers will meet at the crossroads at Omega Products International in Corona, California, and when it’s over, only two men will be left standing.

In the main event, which headlines an exciting night of world class boxing action presented by Thompson Boxing Promotions, in association with Gary Shaw Productions, highly regarded bantamweight up and comer Yonnhy PEREZ (13-0, 10 KOs) will make his SHOBOX debut when he takes on Russia’s Alexander FEDEROV (17-4-1, 10 KOs) in a ten round bout.

The hard-hitting co-main event features highly decorated former amateur champion Mickey BEY Jr. (8-0, 5 KOs) in an eight round junior lightweight bout against Guatemalan warrior Castulo GONZALEZ (9-3, 3 KOs).

Both bouts will be aired live on Showtime’s “SHOBOX The New Generation” show beginning at 11pm ET / PT.

Tickets for this event are available and can be purchased by calling 714-935-0900. Tickets are priced at $30, $45, and $75.

A native of Cartagena, Colombia, Yohnny Perez was a four-time Colombian national champion as an amateur before relocating to the United States and entering the pro ranks in 2005. Now based in Santa Fe Springs, California, Perez has impressed fight insiders so far, especially with victories over veterans Oscar Andrade and Samuel Lopez.  In his last fight, on September 7th, Perez stopped Antonio Cochero in two rounds.  Alexander Fedorov, a native of Cheboksary, is a hard-nosed battler and former Russian super bantamweight champion who is looking to make a mark on the 118-pound weight class in his first United States appearance.

24-year old Cleveland native Mickey Bey Jr. is a former US National Golden Gloves Champion who has since taken his considerable talents to the pro game.  Winner of his first eight bouts without a loss, Bey has dominated his competition thus far and has won his last three bouts by knockout.  Castulo Gonzalez will push Bey to the limit though, and the Massachusetts resident has gained a reputation for leaving everything in the ring each time he fights, something in evidence in his bouts with well-regarded Priest Smalls, Dat Nguyen, and Mike Oliver.

Doors open at 5pm and the first bell rings at 6pm.  Bouts subject to change.
