Marking the return to the ring of Aguas Buenas favorite Yomar “The Magic” Alamo (20-2-1, 12 KO's), Universal Promotions will present “UP Boxing Series: Return of The Magic” to take place on Saturday, February 24 at the Samuel “Sammy” Rodríguez Coliseum in Aguas Buenas.

“We bring boxing back to the city of Aguas Buenas, which is the birthplace of great boxers,” said the President of Universal Promotions, Javier Bustillo.

“Grateful for the support of the Honorable Mayor Karina Nieves Serrano, who has opened the doors of her city to us to bring back boxing and the idol of Aguas Buenas, Yomar Alamo. We are preparing for a world-class event in front of a full house. It will be a boxing festival with 12 fights of the best boxing in Puerto Rico.”

In the main event of the night, after seven years without fighting in Puerto Rico, Alamo will return to his people in search of returning to the winning route, when he clashes against the Dominican, Adriano Ramírez (13-5, 8 KO's), in a fight agreed to over eight rounds in the super lightweight division.

“Very happy with the opportunity that Universal Promotions is giving me to return to my people in Aguas Buenas,” said Alamo.

“We are very satisfied with the work being done under the tutelage of Alex Caraballo. This is a new beginning. You will see a much more aggressive Yomar Alamo, brave, wanting to finish his opponents when they have to be finished and very intelligent in the ring. We come with new energy and the same desire to become world champion. On February 24 you will enjoy a spectacular event.”

Looking to return to the winning path, 140-pound prospect, Omar “The New Era” Rosario (11-1, 3 KO's), will face Alberto Candelaria (5-3-2, 4 KO's) in a six-round fight.

“On February 24, I returned to the ring after my first loss as a professional boxer,” said Rosario, who lost his undefeated record last November in California.

“I feel excited to fight in the town where I live, and close to Caguas. I come stronger than ever. Focused on showing that the ‘New Era’ is here to stay, and that despite the setbacks, we are going to become world champion.”

In a clash that promises dynamite from bell to bell, Yamitt “El Olimpico” Ponce (7-0, 6 KO’s) will face Emmanuel “Tito” Morales (10-6, 6 KO’s) in six rounds at super featherweight.

Chris “The Punisher” Echevarría (6-1, 3 KO's), José “El Bori” Nieves (11-0, 8 KO's), Bryan “The Hunter” Polaco (5-0, 4KO's), William “Yeyo” Colón (2- 0, 1 KO's), Jean Carlos Cabral (4-0, 2 KO's), Erie “El Gallo” Zayas (1-0), Gabriel Planell (1-0, 1 KO), Lionell “Taz” Colón (1-0), among others will complete the billboard.
