ANAHEIM, CALIF. - IBF minimumweight world champion Yokasta Valle (25-2, 9 KOs) made a successful United States debut on Saturday night as part of the Munguia vs. Kelly undercard by scoring a unanimous decision win over Lorraine Villalobos (5-4, 2 KOs).

The fight took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. and was streamed live on DAZN.

“We are very proud of Yokasta Valle’s performance,” said Marvin Rodriguez, Founder and CEO of MarvNation Promotions. “This was her debut in the United States and on DAZN, and she showed how skillful and exciting she is as a fighter. That’s why she is a world champion and why she will continue being a world champion. I’m excited about this new relationship with Golden Boy, and I know we will accomplish a lot of great things together.”

Following a dominant display of relentless offense mixed intelligent defense, Valle won with three scores of 100-90. The Costa Rican champion now wants to unify titles against any of the other current belt holders.

"I feel very excited to have defended my title in my U.S. debut on DAZN," said Valle. "Thank you to everyone that supported me. I want everyone to know that I'm representing all Latinos when I step into the ring. This fight was taken on only two weeks’ notice, but a champion is always ready. I took the opportunity, and I showed that I was prepared.

“What I’ve always said is that I want to fight the other champions of the division and unify titles. Whether it’s with Seniesa Estrada, Tina Rupprecht or Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen, I want to unify titles.”
